Textbook Rentals

       Textbook Rental Agreement

I understand  that at the end of the current semester, it is my responsibility to return the books rented under this program to the campus store or pay the replacement price (equivalent SMCM used price) of the rental books in my possession. It is also my responsibility to obtain a receipt of the rental return in case it is needed by campus store management to verify that the book was returned. Payments can be made with check, cash, debit card or credit card.
I understand that the book rented by me is the property of St. Mary’s Campus Store and in accepting the terms of this book rental program, I accept the responsibility to use the book and return it to St. Mary’s Campus Store in resalable condition. No moisture or water damage is allowed.
I understand and authorize the Business Office to place my student account on hold if the book is not returned by 5:00 P.M. on the date of the rental barcode. In addition, if my book is not returned by the deadline, I will incur a $25 late fee.
I understand that my rental fee is refundable only according to the St. Mary’s Campus Store Refund Policy (with receipt) within 1 week of the start of the semester. After the first week of classes, a drop slip is required for a refund and no refund of the rental fee will be allowed after the sixth week of class.
I have read and fully understand the provisions and the terms of this agreement as outlined and I agree to adhere to all conditions and terms as stated.
