Graduation Information
Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 16th, 2026,
10:00 AM on the Townhouse Greens.

All students, regardless of their major, wear the same graduation regalia (cap, gown, hood, and black tassel). The cost for the complete outfit is $56.95 and payment is due when orders are picked up at the Campus Store beginning Monday, May 4th. The deadline for pre-ordering regalia is Sunday, March 29th at midnight. After that date, the cost will be $66.95. If you need to order the entire outfit or need specific components of the outfit (e.g. hood or cap only), we will have those available to purchase in-store and online by Monday, April 13th. To place your cap and gown order, click here. If you were selected for Phi Beta Kappa and are participating in the ceremony, your regalia is in the process of being ordered. If you live off campus and need your regalia shipped to your home address please email the Campus Store's Director, Richard Wagner, at rtwagner@smcm.edu. |

Beginning with the Class of 2021, the new diploma size is 11" X 14". When ordering, please make sure to purchase the correct size diploma frame, it will have the diploma size in the item description of the diploma frame. Click here to view our current diploma frame inventory. |

To purchase personalized class rings and announcements from Balfour, please click here or call 1(877)225-3687. Class rings start at $465 for the Celestrium, while personalized announcements start at $12.95 for a set of 5. Balfour will be on campus Wednesday, April 1st and Thursday, April 2nd at the Campus Store from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. |
